Octomom Natalie 'Nadya' Suleman Reveals Which Plastic Surgeries She’s Had — and Why One Was a 'Poor Decision' (2025)

Natalie "Nadya" Suleman is revealing her one plastic surgery regret.

On the March 31 episode of Lifetime’s Confessions of Octomom, Suleman reflects on her decision to go under the knife and the subsequent fallout from the media.

“So the media, they glommed onto these grotesque Octomom lips,” she recalled. “They started to spin all kinds of false narratives that I had all this plastic surgery to look like an actress.”

“Look at her. She wants to be Angelina Jolie,” a voiceover said as a magazine cover with the headline, “The Octuplets’ Mom Obsessed with Angelina," appeared.

In a throwback clip, the mom of 14 looked at the cover of a magazine showing Angelina Jolie and said, “No, I’ve never wanted to look like her. I'm not superficial. Not at all.”

Despite not wanting to look like another star, Suleman told cameras that she did opt for plastic surgery. “I'm sick of the public saying or thinking that I've had all this plastic surgery when the reality is, in 2008 – young, dumb, immature – and we're all insecure at least one point in our lives, I made a poor decision to go to a dermatologist to inject the upper [lip with] temporary filler because I read about this to match my lower [lip]," she said.

However, the visit to the doctor didn’t go as planned. She explained, “Unfortunately, he had a different goal in mind, and he clearly made a big mess.”

The television personality notes that she “should never have touched my lips.”

Suleman went to detail the procedures that she did undergo, saying, “I have been under anesthesia twice in my life, I will openly say that, and I never wanted to look like or be like anyone but myself.”

“And did it for me, breastfeeding three kids, and I did have [a] breast augmentation [in] 2003 and I, after about seven months, eight months, subsequent to having the octuplets, I had one tummy tuck,” she added.

Suleman explained the decision to have her lips done was her “biggest regret because of the lips, they were able to take something I did and completely catastrophize it, and [the] public would eat it up.”

In 2016, Suleman opened up to the Daily Mail about her dissatisfaction with lip filler, saying, “I have had no work on my face but I admit that in 2008 I injected my lips and it looked horrible. I was so embarrassed and ashamed.”

"In 2009, I did it again because a media outlet paid me. I was so embarrassed I denied it, but it feels so freeing to finally tell the truth," she added at the time. "I don't want my girls to go down the path of plastic surgery and wanting to change themselves.”
